Joe Hayes, M.A. - Director of Guidance

Joe has been in the field of Education since 1976 and has worked for the ConVal School District as an SAU#47 employee in the 1980s, first as a School Psychologist, then as Director of Special Education. He continued as SPED Director in Jaffrey-Rindge until 1996, then served as Teaching Assistant Principal and Interim Principal of Conant High School in Jaffrey until returning to ConVal as Special Education Coordinator in 1999. Joe has been Director of Guidance since September of 2000. Having grown up in New York, he is a Yankee fan, but actually did root for the Sox this year!

Tracy Encarnacao, MEd. - Guidance Counselor

Upon meeting Tracy, you will definitely know from her accent that she grew up in Dracut, MA. She received her MEd from Suffolk University and has worked as a Guidance Counselor in Reading, MA and at the Youth Detention Center in Concord. Her husband is a State Troopa (as she would say). She has a five year old girl and a six year old boy and resides in Merrimack. She enjoys reading, yoga, shopping, and listening to music. Oh, and she has two dogs (one smahta than the otha') and the last name is N-Car-Na-See-O!

JoAnn Fletcher, MA. - Guidance Counselor

JoAnn is a fifteen year resident of Peterborough, and is the proud parent of a ConVal grad, and two undergrads. Prior to joining the Guidance staff, JoAnn worked as an itinerant instructor of Psychology and Study Skills at Nashua Community College. Prior to her arrival in this area, she had lived in four other states, and was even a Dean of a small southern college for a short period. She is an avid ConVal sports fan and can out scream just about anyone. She also enjoys walking her dog, the great outdoors, biking, and activities with her family . Don't mess with her, she's a full blooded Italian with relatives in Joisey.

Kristen Ingram, M.Ed. - Guidance Counselor

Prior to joining the staff at ConVal in 2003, Kristen was a varsity softball coach at Provencetown High School in Massachusetts. Kristen worked as a social worker and crisis counselor in Mass. as well. Her past experience coaching and counseling young people has proved invaluable to her in the public school setting. She enjoys the great outdoors, travel, and spending time with her family.

Shawn King, MEd - Guidance Counselor

Shawn joined our staff in September of 2006 after having received her Masters degree from Rivier College. However, Shawn brings a wide variety of experiences in the private sector including having worked as a financial comptroller, a paralegal, and in marketing and sales. Her decision to enter Guidance was prompted by her own life experience and her desire to share some of her experiences with students. She and her family, including a son and two daughters, live in Nashua.

Vicki Keller, MA, LADC. - Alcohol/Drug Counselor

Vicki Keller, MA, LADC. Vicki joined our staff in September '07 as our first Licensed Alcohol/Drug Counselor. Her primary role is to provide services to students and families who are coping with drug/alcohol dependency that is effecting student achievement in the school environment. Vicki received her Bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Management from the University of Wisconsin, which she utilized in a variety of adventure based jobs and experiences. She then went on to earn her Masters degree from Antioch College in Marriage and Family Counseling, and has completed additional requirements leading to licensure as a LADC. Obviously, Vicki is a huge fan of all things outdoors, but also enjoys reading and listening to music. She lives in Keene with her 3 year old son.

George Kitz, M.S.W. - Crisis Prevention Counselor

George is a certified School Social Worker who provides crisis intervention services for students who present with issue that require an immediate response. Family related crises, drug/alcohol issues, and/or peer interaction problems are all within his purview. George has over twenty years of experience working in the mental health field. He was former director of a semi-private business that provided real life skills to individuals with serious mental illness. He joined our staff in November of 2000.

Sharon Donaway - Registrar

Sharon Donaway was the Guidance Secretary at ConVal for five years, and has been designated the school's Registrar since February of 2001. She previously worked for a local radio station and is a graduate of the former Peterborough High School. She has completed coursework at SUNY Binghamton and continues to develop advanced clerical skills here at ConVal. Her two boys have attended ConVal as well.

Ellen Schadegg - Attendance Secretary

Ellen Schadegg, our Attendance Secretary, is the voice you're likely to hear if your child is out of school for any reason. Ellen first started at ConVal in 1993 as a part-time assistant in the Applied Technology Center, then transitioned to her current position in 1995. Ellen's children are both ConVal graduates. She is a resident of Hancock.
