Dear DCS Families,

Welcome to the new school year at DCS. We would like to invite you to become involved with the DCS PTO. If you’re able to come to the monthly meetings, great, and if not, feel free to attend whenever possible. The PTO has always been an integral part of our children’s education here at DCS. Parents, grandparents and friends are the backbone of PTO; your input and participation are invaluable to the success of this organization. We’d like to encourage any and all to help in whatever capacity you can manage. It can be a lot of fun organizing these activities and it’s an opportunity to get to know other students and parents along with the wonderful staff at DCS!

Meetings will be held on the 1st Monday of each month at DCS in the library at 6pm and usually only last an hour. Minutes of each meeting are posted on the DCS bulletin board. Please let us know if you need childcare in order to attend.

In the past the PTO has helped fund many activities. These and other wonderful activities will not be possible without the help of parents like you:

* Arts Enrichment Program * Playground and sports equipment

* Harvest Dinner in the fall * Literacy Celebration (April)

* Ice Cream Social in the spring * Turn off the TV week (April)

* Field Day (June) * Pizza and Movie night

* Various class field trips * Teacher Appreciation Lunch (June)
