MEETING AGENDA:
• Treasurer’s Report Checking and saving balances, see full report on back.
• PTO Bulletin Board Stop by and check out the PTO bulletin board in the school hallway to see the many events and activities the PTO has or will sponsor this year! Your PTO dollars are hard at work!
• Weather Books - 24 copies of "Weather Facts and Fun" written by Josh Judge have been purchased by the PTO at $15/copy. Josh Judge will be coming to GES to talk about his book (date TBA).
• Music Night with Mr. Parshall was Dec. 11th - Thank you to Mr. Parshall & all the parent volunteers! Music night was a huge success and well-attended by over 40 children and their families. Much fun was had by all!
• Basketball Program This 4-week program will take place during the month of March on Thursday evenings. PTO voted “YES” to set aside $100 for any expenses this program will incur. PRE-SIGNUP will be mandatory. More info to come.
• Winter Carnival February 13th is the date for another fun and exciting Winter Carnival. The PTO will be hosting the Sled Races at the Greenfield Inn (for all ages) so save your boxes!
• Box Tops for Education Watch for the next collection sheet for Box Tops for Education! Help the students reach their goal of 5,000 box tops (we have 3,990 currently) by saving and sending them in with your children. We’ve raised over $300 so far this year! And don’t forget your Campbell Soup label barcodes as well!
• Variety Show Greenfield’s 3rd Annual Variety Show is Saturday, April 10th at the Meeting House. This is sponsored by the GES PTO. If you would like to participate contact Dorene Adams at 547-2706 or dorene77@myfairpoint.net. Space is limited so if you have an act (sing, dance, short skits, comedy, musical performances, etc) contact Dorene today (deadline to sign up is March 10th). PTO voted “YES” to video tape the Variety Show and offer the DVD’s for sale to the community.
• Year Book Planning is underway for the GES year book. The PTO voted to keep the ads at their current pricing ($20 business card / $80 half-page / $160 full-page). Anyone interested in helping on with the Year Book Committee should contact Donna Smith at 547-8778.
• Water Bubbler Installation for the new water bubbler has been approved. It will be installed sometime in the Spring.
• PTO voted “YES” to set aside $200 for the school-wide Mardi Gras event that will be taking place in March.
• PTO voted “YES” to reimburse Katherine Heck $53.97 for plastic boot mats for each classroom.
• PTO voted “YES” to reimburse volunteer Jake Snell $50 for his time/effort/expenses in videotaping, editing and copying the DVDs for the Circus and NHDI. He did a great job and the PTO appreciates all his time with these projects.
• A special “Thank You” to all the parents who donated baked goods and/or their time to the bake sale for the NHDI performance! We were overwhelmed with delicious baked goods and offers to help and we certainly appreciate the support!
