June's FACTS artist is Paul Klee (1879 - 1940) This Swiss Expressionist's paintings and drawings are often said to have a playful, gently humorous and childlike quality. Klee once remarked, "A line is a dot going for a walk." A trip to Tunisia sparked Klee's love of color, seen in the painting shown here, Versunkene Landschaft 1918.
