Frequently Asked Questions

Below you will find introductory answers to frequently asked questions about school procedures and regulations. Links throughout the answers will guide you to further information on our website or from other sources.
Should you have any further questions, please call the main office at 924-3828 or send an e-mail to , Principal.
Hours of
Operation

Q. What are the school's hours of operation? That is, what are the hours my child will attend classes?

A. If your child is in Kindergarten, school starts at 8:40 a.m. and ends at 12 noon. Parents who are driving their Kindergarten children need to drop them off between 8:30 and 8:40 a.m. These students, along with those who come to school on the bus, go directly to their classrooms as they arrive during this ten-minute "arrival window."
If your child is in first, second, third, or fourth grade, school starts at 8:50 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. Children who are driven to school should be dropped off no earlier than 8:30 a.m. These 1st - 4th graders have outdoor recess beginning at 8:30 a.m., then come in to their classrooms at 8:40 a.m. Between 8:40 and 8:50 students are putting away their backpacks and outdoor clothing and checking in with their teacher.
Please note that the on-campus child care program, SKIP (School Kids in Peterborough), hosts a "Little Skippers" program for Kindergarten students from noon to 3 p.m., and a regular after-school program beginning at 3 p.m. for all enrolled students. SKIP also hosts a before-school program in their building on the PES playground.
Contacting

Teachers

Q. How can I contact my child's classroom teacher?
