German Night aka The TES Aprilfest
This year the whole school studied Germany. Many people sent in German items which were on display for all to enjoy. This is just a small selection of the German books that were in our library. Our first grade class studied and created their own scherenschnitte, the German art of intricate paper cutting.
Our second grade class, with the help of parent volunteers, made three corner hats in the colors of the German flag. For their presentation they performed "Mein Hut".
Jill and Phil, who study German at ConVal, spent the day teaching German songs and dances to all of the students.

Another former ConVal student, Jonathan, spent his spring break teaching the fourth grade students to read a book in German and to speak some basic conversations and vocabulary, which they shared at the evening performance.

Their help was greatly appreciated and enjoyed by all and the children at Temple have learned so much from these terrific ConVal students.

Third grade wrote a play incorporating Grimms Fairy Tales, as well as, facts about Germany.
The fourth graders were in charge of decorating the gym.
Everyone had a great time and then it was time to say "Auf Wiedersehen".
