NH Historical Society
Pat, a representative from the NH Historical Society presented a program called New Hampshire Hands at Work which introduced the fourth graders to the industries specific to our beautiful state. Pat spoke, gave a slide presentation, and brought samples of products from days gone by. As you can see by the pictures below, the students especially enjoyed the hands on aspect of her talk.
Pat came back and we're glad she did. She gave two awesome presentations one about the Abenaki Indians and the other a new program called Document Detectives which enables students to learn how people lived in the 1800's by studying the diaries, photographs and artifacts of ordinary people. The kids just love the hands on aspect of the Historical Society Programs. They come highly recommended by our students.
