Temple School's Poet Laureate
The Peterborough Town Library received 123 entries from K-12 students for their 4th Annual Young Poets' Writing Challenge this year. These poems were judged by past poets-in-residence at the MacDowell Colony. When the results were announced our very own second grader, Jamison, was among the winners and it's easy to see why.
Snakes slither quickly and

Poets write quickly and

Rattlesnakes rattle their tails and

In the warm morning sun

North of the river 100 snakes spring from the

Ground.

Jamison's family and teacher, Mrs. Drogy, were invited to a Poets' Picnic at the library where the winners' poems were recited. We're very proud of you Jamison!
