After Temple School students learned about Faith Ringgold, a well know childrens' author and illustrator, they did their own interpretation of her work.
Depending on how you look at them, these pictures depict both winter and spring scenes.
Temple students learned that artist Henri Rousseau grew up in France and actually started painting as a hobby. When he was 49, he took early retirement to pursue painting full time. He is best known for his jungle scenes, which inspired the drawings you see here.

These beautiful drawings are based on Andy Warhol's Gee Merrie Shoes prints, which he created in 1955 before he went on to do his famous 32 Campbell Soup Cans.
With all this art going on . . .
the Temple staff got into the act . . .
and created these birch trees.
