The Temple Elementary School staff has decided to take on an environmental project that will start this year and hopefully continue for years to come. Our students have been divided into five groups, Sun, Water, Fire, Earth and Wind. Each teacher has chosen a topic to teach and will rotate the groups until all students participate in all lessons. With this foundation of what it means to be environmentally aware we hope to expand our efforts next year by putting into practice the ways we have learned to help the environment. As these practices become second nature, the hope is that our students will become environmentally responsible adults. It wasn't all seriousness though, Vivian Gentes, a former ConVal music teacher, entertained us with songs she had written, and Mother Earth came to visit to encourage the children to be kind to her in the future. Learning and having fun is the way we like to do things at Temple Elementary School.
