Mrs. McGettigan's Weekly Homework
Each week, students will receive a homework packet on Monday.
Homework is due back on Friday mornings. This is an important fourth grade skill. Remembering homework, planning out your time, and having parents review your homework is a must each week!

| Monday

|
Spelling: You must review your list of words and write them two times each. Write it once, look at it to remember, then write it again and check your spelling. Be sure an adult looks over your practice sheets and signs it to show you practiced correctly.
Math: You must do a multiplication and division timing. Each timing should be for two minutes. After completing each timing, do an additional two minutes of practice on the same sheet. Be sure your sheet is corrected and signed by an adult to show you are practicing correct facts.
Reading: You must read for twenty to thirty minutes each night. At the end of your reading time, write down the number of pages you read and keep track of the story on the bookmark, journal, or reading sheet included in your folder. Again, have an adult initial your bookmark to let me know they are aware of what you are reading and can see your progress.

Reading: Read the nonfiction reading sheet included in your folder. Answer the questions or follow the directions on the sheet to complete this assignment. The sheet should be a review of a topic we are learning about in class or related to a current event. Again, be sure you have an adult take a quick look at your responses to be sure you didn't rush and make any careless mistakes.
