In second grade, we read stories about random acts of kindness such as George Washington and the General's Dog and The Goodness Gorillas. The children are encouraged to treat others with respect and kindness by our "Random Acts of Kindness" bulletin board. Parents are given hearts to fill out every time they catch their child doing something nice for someone without being asked. Mrs. Drogy watches in the classroom as well. Below are some of the random acts "committed" by the second graders.
