Rick Davis may be known as the author of the books Totally Useless Skills and Totally Useless Office Skills, but to our students they're not useless, they're fun! |

Rick comes to us now with a program he calls "A Bag of Tricks". Skills that teach perseverance, risk taking, observation, and dedication are taught by showing kids how to balance a piece of paper on their finger or nose, how to make a pencil appear as if it is made of rubber or how to make it disappear all together. |

| By trying to perfect these skills, kids learn not only from their mistakes, but that if they try harder, try again, invent a way that works for them, practice, set a goal, go beyond what they think they'll be able to accomplish, they eventually will, in fact, be able to do what they set out to do no matter what it is. If you think you can, YOU CAN! If you focus on what you are hoping to improve, YOU WILL! What great skills for children to learn. |
