The first grade poem selected as the winner of the Fifth Annual Young Poets' Writing Challenge sponsored by the Peterborough Town Library was written by our very own Rowan. Morning in the Sea

The sun rose one cloudy, misty day
Fish bobbed for the gooey light
A turtle yawned in the morning with delight
The deer woke up and hoped for the sun
And eventually it finally came out with a
big yellow yawn
The sun was out
No one was afraid that the sun was dead
or in its grave
