| We had the pleasure of having Jill Rolph give an incredible presentation on the plight of the sea turtle. Jill is the president and founder of The New Hampshire Sea Turtle Foundation and is active in trying to prevent these incredible creatures from becoming extinct. One of the ways she is accomplishing this is through education. As you can see from the picture above, Jill does not travel lightly, from a life size leatherback to a beautiful mosaic created by Great Book School students from cut up balloons and recycled magazines. Her love of these animals comes through as she explains why they are endangered and what can be done to help. She emphasizes that the actions of just one person can make a difference so imagine what could happen if we all did our part. As you will see by the pictures below the students thoroughly enjoyed their time with Jill while learning how to be come responsible beachgoers. |
