Acknowledgements

The Language Arts Curriculum Committee put into writing the practices and expectations for language instruction in grades kindergarten through ten. The process began with a review of research, relevant literature, ConVal’s Integrated Language Curriculum of 1991 and the NH Language Arts Curriculum Frameworks. Valuable input came from the district’s teachers, administrators and school board members. Core team members are:

The revised ConVal Language Arts Curriculum has been available on the ConVal website since June 2004 (www.conval.edu). Additional changes were made to align the curriculum with the New England Common Assessment Program, Reading and Writing Grade-Level Expectations published on the NH Department of Education website in June 2004 (www.ed.state.nh.us).
