The K-12 Math Curriculum has been a work-in-progress for almost two years. The documents below are in a working draft format and will be updated as the Math Curriculum Action Team continues to refine them.

There are three columns in the curriculum documents:
Column 1: contains the Grade Level Expectations (GLEs) as provided by the State of NH (also reference the NH K-12 Mathematics Frameworks document).
Column 2: contains the Key Content and Skills (key learning concepts) for each GLE.
Column 3: contains the Common Benchmark Assessments - these are references for possible resources for assessment of the GLEs.
As our teachers work together in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), they will develop more specific common assessments that will be referenced in this column.

The Power Standards are the identified GLEs that are the most essential to be taught at each grade level. All standards and GLEs are expected to be taught to our students, but the priority has been placed on the Power Standards.

Please note: The Power Standards are identified by the highlighted boxes, and the GLEs that are tested on the NECAP are identified by Bold Box Borders. Italics indicate Teaching Component from prior grade; the content and skills should continue to be reinforced. June 2009
